A. L. Myasnikov Institute of Clinical Cardiology is the oldest subdivision of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of the Scientific Medical Research Center of Cardiology of the Ministry of Health of Russia. The Institute got its name in 1967.

Main areas of research of the Institute - atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease, thrombosis, acute myocardial infarction, arterial hypertension, heart rhythm disturbances, primary myocardial damage and circulatory failure.

Employees of the Institute are studying the problems of diagnosis and treatment of major diseases of the cardiovascular system, including surgical treatment.

The structure of the Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology includes 27 departments and 5 independent diagnostic laboratories. The clinic has 400 beds.

Hospitalization to the Institute of Clinical Cardiology is possible on the basis of state programs - compulsory medical insurance, specialized medical care and high-tech medical care (quota) - if there are medical evidence on the basis of the decision of the hospitalization commission, as well as on a contractual basis.
